Microsoft's MAI-Image-2.6 image models can now be used through Vercel's AI Gateway without a separate provider account. Both generate and edit images from up to five references; the standard version targets quality while the Flash version trades some of it for speed and cost.
Vercel has added Google's Gemini 4 Argon to its AI Gateway. The model targets coding, agentic tasks and complex reasoning, offers a 1M-token context window, takes text, image, PDF and video input, and supports tool calling. It uses low, medium and high thinking levels rather than thinking budgets.
Vercel's AI Gateway now offers Drama 3, a text-to-speech model from Fish Audio still in preview, at a discount until November 12. Users can steer emotion, pacing, pauses and whispers through instructions in the script, and the model handles dialogue with a distinct voice per character.
Simon Willison updated his llm-meta-ai plugin for Muse Wonder, the new model Meta calls its most capable, which Artificial Analysis rates on par with GPT-6.1 Sol at its highest setting. His tests across six reasoning levels suggest Meta is now shipping a new model roughly every month, with visible gains each time.

Meta has released two new models, Muse Wonder and Muse Wonder Full, which it says can compete with the industry's best. They follow Muse Spark, the first model from its revamped Superintelligence Labs, and the Muse AI agent.
