Vercel has added Glimpse, Elorian's visual reasoning model, to its AI Gateway. The model takes images and video, can follow objects through motion and go back to visual details as it works, targeting uses such as chart analysis, video captioning, counting and robotics annotation.
Hugging Face is hosting Beam, an open model with 501 billion parameters. The release is pitched as a model that users can own, adapt to their needs and run at scale.
Vercel has added Reflection AI's Beam, the model previously tested under the stealth name Cat Jam, to its AI Gateway, free for a limited launch period. Beam is a US open-weight reasoning model under Apache 2.0, aimed at coding and agent work, with a 1M-token context and only 23B of its 501B parameters active per token.
Vercel's AI Gateway now offers Perplexity's Decider V1.2 27B and Decider Flash V1.2 4B, two multimodal models built to classify, route and score text, records and images. They answer yes/no, multiple-choice and rubric questions with probabilities, which apps can use to route tickets or escalate uncertain cases to a human.
